Texas State Assistance Programs
Depending on your income and situation, you may qualify for one or more of the following programs:
Medicaid for Pregnant Women (Texas Health and Human Services)
Texas Medicaid may cover prenatal visits, hospital delivery, and postpartum care. Pregnant women often qualify at higher income limits than other adults, which means you may be eligible even if you have not qualified before.
CHIP Perinatal
If you do not qualify for Medicaid, CHIP Perinatal may provide prenatal care coverage and delivery services for your baby.
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children)
WIC provides nutritious foods, breastfeeding support, and nutrition education during pregnancy and after birth. This can significantly reduce grocery expenses while supporting your health and your baby’s development.
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
SNAP helps cover the cost of groceries for qualifying individuals and families.
TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
TANF provides short-term financial assistance for essential needs, along with job training and support services.
